Ethnic Chinese Games
The Chinese have some of the world's more colorful ethnic games, brought about by a diverse culture of 55 ethnic minorities combining for a massive population of about 2 billion.
Ethnic Chinese games include dragon boats racing, swinging, Chinese cricket and top flipping.
To promote ethnic Chinese games, a quadrennial meet known as the National Ethnic Games is held.
The 8th staging of the event was held in Guangzhou on November 10, 2007.
Amid a carnival atmosphere, a performance themed "Harmony Forever" unfolded as thousands of ethnic artists took the stage with music and dance.
